Hear No Evil, See No Evil - Robert Nolan

Robert has been deaf since birth and has now lost all his useful sight. This truly motivating talk gives an insight into his infectious ‘glass half full’ approach to life as he shares personal stories about the good times, the challenges, and the surprises! He explores attitudes towards disability and how we can all strive to become more inclusive.

Robert has not let deaf-blindness hold him back. He has travelled the world, run marathons and cycled thousands of miles. He loves hill walking, swimming, running and playing guitar. He has carried the Olympic Torch and was recently awarded a UK Deaf Sports Personality Award.

Having enjoyed a successful career in the oil and gas industry, he is now Chair of Deafblind UK, a Trustee for the Sheffield Royal Society for the blind, and a well renowned public speaker.

Robert hopes to inspire the people he meets to make the best of themselves, whatever challenges they may face.
